‘ttc’ were appointed as part of a project group to deliver a robust traffic and transport assessment to support the planning application for a new Starbucks Drive-thru on Enterprise Park in Swansea. ‘ttc’ used their expertise and innovative way of working to demonstrate that the impact of the proposals on the local highway would prove to be beneficial, whilst delivering the work to budget and to the tight timescales demanded. As a result the proposals were granted planning permission on 18th August 2017. George Bailes, Director, ttc, comments, "This was an exciting project to work on, because in transport planning terms 'Drive-thru coffee shops' are a relatively new concept. Our innovative and flexible approach enabled us to work effectively with the Local Highway Authority in order to address all the transport and highways aspects of the proposal. This close working relationship resulted in the team achieving planning permission for the client, which we were delighted with. We are looking forward to developing more Drive-thru Coffee restaurants as a result of this project."
